Some stories arrive already at home.

Ours don’t.

The Shelterless is an independent film company based in Italy. We make fiction, documentaries and branded stories for ideas that do not fit the usual frame.

We follow each project from the first spark to the final image. The work is intimate, restless and made to stay with people, not simply pass through a feed.

When pollution threatens his daughter’s health, Galileo leaves the city with his family in search of a more honest life in the countryside. Their new beginning is put at risk by a corporation determined to control the land and the people who work it.

Effimero began at Not Film Fest 2024, where Mattia Bricalli was selected for the festival’s filmmaking challenge. What started under pressure was later reimagined and rebuilt as a new final cut.

Straferrara

Led by the voice and memories of Rossana “Cici” Spadoni, the documentary follows more than ninety years in the life of Straferrara, the dialect theatre company founded by her father in 1931, and the city that grew around its stage.
